Dayton, January 21, 2020:  Wright Brothers Institute (WBI) announces the Grand Re-Opening of its facility at 444 E. Second Street (444) on Wednesday, January 22, from 3 to 5 p.m.

WBI’s presence in its 444 location, which opened in 2017, has been expanded and the interior completely remodeled to better serve its mission of providing the region an opportunity to collaborate with the U.S. Air Force on cutting-edge research and technology development initiatives. It serves as the Air Force’s Midwestern Storefront, bringing the Air Force and its needs to the community and giving industry and academia access to business development opportunities that were previously difficult to uncover and often problematic to understand and pursue.

The newly completed expansion reflects the needs and appreciation of Dayton’s small business community, which quickly made use of the resources and connectivity provided by WBI and the Air Force Research Laboratory when the facility first opened. The new layout has more rooms for small and large group collaborations, expanded open areas conducive to WBI Collider events, and dedicated space for technology ”Sprints” and small business teams pursuing and developing Air Force SBIR program awards.

The Grand Re-Opening will feature speakers from the leadership at Wright Brothers Institute, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and the Air Force’s Small Business Innovation Research and Technology Transfer program office, as well as comments from other community participants. An open house reception will follow.

Admission is free and open to the public, but registration is encouraged. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/grand-re-opening-wbi-444-tickets-86023254871?aff=ebdssbdestsearch
