FLC (federal laboratory consortium for technology transfer) hosted their Midwest & Southeast Regional Meeting October 15-17 in Milwaukee, WI. This event aims to educate, promote, and facilitate tech transfer offices about the importance of collaborating with other federal labs, academics and private partners. Attending from WBI was Rene' Meadors, our Industry Outreach PM. At the event, she was able to network with other federal labs, listen to the unique challenges they face, and glean best practices for advancing federal lab technologies forward in the commercial market, and subsequently back to the warfighter.

Staying involved with FLC enables WBI to remain educated and informed about cutting edge techniques for transferring and transitioning federal technologies. With this knowledge, WBI can better advise our AFRL ORTAs and their respective S&Es on what the best practices are among the federal agencies for evaluating inventions, determining the best commercial path forward, and negotiating agreements that are a win-win for all parties involved.
