The success of this high-profile program will help elevate AFRL's reputation among Air Force leadership as embracing new, innovative ways of doing business.

AF Explore will act as the pipeline for pre-developed Vanguard concepts. This pilot program has the potential to accelerate research areas within AFRL, as they become capabilities in collaboration with the Air Force Warfighting Integration Capability (AFWIC) office. The program seeks to develop fieldable demonstrations within three years.

WBI has provided critical guidance for the implementation of a forward-facing website, IdeaScale intake platform and marketing efforts. Finding high-quality submissions, with the most potential for success has been the driving force for the marketing strategy. WBI continues to facilitate, as AFRL collaborates with subcontractors to deliver this revolutionary process to the public.

This program will ultimately support Gen Arnold Bunch, Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, who will be overseeing the Vanguards as they develop.
