Mr. Tim Sakulich will provide the keynote presentation at Motivate the Market 2019 Forum.

Dayton, October 30, 2019:  Wright Brothers Institute (WBI), along with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Purdue Foundry, The Entrepreneurs Center (TEC) and the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) presents the Motivate the Market 2019 Forum, connecting Air Force researchers and associated start-up companies with economic developers, investors and Air Force end-users.

The forum is scheduled for November 7 at The Steam Plant, 617 East 3rd Street in Dayton, Ohio. Doors open at 2:00pm, beginning with the 26 student-led poster presentations.  Attendees can expect insights into cutting-edge ideas, build relationships with inventors and hear pitches from companies that apply these discoveries in their products. Approximately 170 attendees are expected from the U.S. Air Force, research organizations, start-ups, investors and academic institutions.

Meghan Sheehan, Director of Commercialization services at Wright Brothers Institute, hopes to connect these diverse attendees to emerging and investable technologies in a single event. “The Air Force and academia understand, now more than ever, that their technologies need a platform to connect to investment. This event provides that platform and showcases the necessity of strategic partnerships.”

Motivate the Market is one of several events that highlight AFRL’s desire to leverage technologies formed in the laboratory and bring them to the marketplace. Partnership programming such as Small Business Innovation Research – Technology Accelerator Program (SBIR-TAP) and the T3 Transition Accelerator, both coordinated with expertise from The Entrepreneurs Center, have resulted in the formation of start-ups and new products delivered to the military.

The event is open to industry, academia, commercial businesses and community members. Registration is free. Please visit http://bit.ly/2UPD7kX to register.
