The Licensing Executives Society (LES) Annual Meeting in October of 2019 attracts licensing experts across North America. Per the LES website, "Today, 80 percent of the equity value of a publicly traded company is in its intellectual capital. With that percentage it reasons that properly managing this capital is incredibly important to the success of a company and is evolving into a discipline that must be understood." This year's event boasted over 500+ decision makers and thought leaders in the IP space to have intelligent conversations about innovation, the evolving licensing field and the future of Intellectual Capital Management.

WBI, along with the Dolittle Institute, TechLink and the University of New Mexico was asked to participate in a panel discussion regarding Air Force PIAs, and why they are important to Air Force tech transfer and transition. WBI's Rene' Meadors discussed the critical role that PIAs play in portfolio management, market assessment and connecting technologies to industry. Additionally, Rene' joined the young members congress, which is dedicated to increasing the number of active members under the age of 40 within LES Member Societies and encourage participation and networking by young members through the organization of unique educational and social programs. By attending partnering meetings at LES with companies, WBI can better understand how to help AFRL accelerate capabilities within their licensing and/or CRADA opportunities.
